Put
the coffee break on hold and take a few minutes from your busy day to
connect with the still, centred heart space of the Goddess within -
guaranteed to bring you back to balance and flow.
- Sitting quietly and comfortably with your spine straight in a place
where you won't be disturbed, allow your eyes to soften and place your
right hand over your heart, your left hand over your belly. Breathe
in to the count of six, hold then release to the count of six. Keep
repeating gently throughout the exercise.
- Allow your shoulders to drop releasing any tension . Now focus on
your right hand and send love out of it, through your chest, heart and
lungs.
- Keep breathing and directing the love through your heart centre until
you can feel it spreading throughout your body. Notice how the quality
of the energy in your left hand changes with this…
- With your feet firmly placed on the ground now, imagine yourself in
a favourite place in nature. Feel roots extending from your feet down
to mother Earth. Let go of any tensions, any concerns which have amounted
in your body and feel them slip away.
- As you continue breathing for another minute notice if your mind is
wandering - is there someone you need to communicate with, something
you have not fully expressed, somewhere your energy and power are caught
up and not flowing freely? (Write it down if necessary and return again
to the hand positions and breathing)
- Notice how much you are allowing yourself to enjoy these few minutes
- and how much your busy mind is cutting in with things to do…..
- How easy do you find it just to 'be' and receive the quality of love
you so readily give to your loved ones. (Notice how much more peaceful
you are beginning to feel now - imagine how much more harmony you can
bring to the meetings and tasks for the remainder of the day)
-
From this place bring up an image of yourself in your mind's eye.
- How would you treat yourself differently if you connected with this
place in you more often?
- How would you be with the people in your life? Would you be more understanding,
compassionate - or would you be more fully expressed and guard your
boundaries more assertively?
- Would you be more passionate?
- Still breathing steadily and deeply (not hyperventilating though)
Feel how you might treat your body differently if you lived more often
from this place
Would you walk more in nature - regardless of the weather
Maybe you'd go dancing ….. or swimming…or gently stretch
and tone your body in yoga postures followed by some meditation…
-
Would you review your eating habits - maybe take more care of the fuel
you take in to run throughout the day?
-
How would you spend your leisure time - do you have enough quality time
to yourself, to grow?
- And how would you adorn yourself, the temple of this peaceful, loving
soul - in colours vibrant and in harmony with your aura - in textures
lush and sensual? How would you communicate yourself in the world knowing
that you are safe in this still place?
- Now visualise yourself surrounded by your favourite flowers, making
a garland around the beautiful, loving sanctuary that is you.
- Returning fully to your day remember that this place of calm and knowing
always rests within you, waiting to connect you to the wisdom at the
essence of who you are.
